Ezer Vierba

ezer.vierba@yale.edu

I did a B.A. in the University of British Columbia and an M.A. in Tel Aviv. Here I’ve been doing general readings on social and political history of Latin America as well as on the philosophy of history. I’m particularly interested in the penal and legal systems, and their relation with power. I am also trying to get a better understanding of subjects such as Liberation Theology and the revolutionary moment of the 1960s.

My dissertation deals with the development of the legal and penal systems in 20th century Panamá (1915-1971). Gil Joseph is my adviser.
