Hello! I'm a 7th year Ph.D. student in the History department working on a dissertation entitled “Pastoral Care in England: 1650-1720,” which investigates the changes which occurred in the pastoral practice of Church of England, Presbyterian, and Congregationalist ministers during the mid-seventeenth to early eighteenth centuries.

I have a passion for teaching and am currently a part- time instructor at Naugatuck Valley Community College, where I teach U.S. History I and Western Civilization I. I am also a volunteer tutor at “New Haven Reads,” where I work with K-12 and adult ESL students. In 2009, during my time as a visiting scholar at the University of Reading (UK), I ran the seminar discussions for “Monarchy and Succession in Tudor England.”

I have been a teaching assistant at Yale for Early Modern Britain with Keith Wrightson and Reformation Europe with Carlos Eire.

I am excited about teaching Western Civilization, World Civilization, U.S. History, and African American History survey courses, as well as more courses in the History of Religion, Colonial America, and the History of Empire. I am also interested in sociological and pedagogical works concerning teaching at the college level. I love community college teaching and hope to eventually teach at a community college full-time.
