George Levesque, Assistant Dean of Yale College and Dean of Freshman Affairs, received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 2005. He is also the Director of the Freshman Seminar Program and regularly teaches courses on religious thought in America and the history of American colleges and universities. His research focuses on nineteenth-century American intellectual and cultural history, and his most recent article is "Noah Porter Revisited," Perspectives on the History of Higher Education (2007, forthcoming).
