George Levesque, Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs in Yale College, received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 2005. He is the Director of the Freshman Seminar Program and teaches courses on religious thought in America and the history of American colleges and universities. His research focuses on eighteenth- and nineteenth-century intellectual and cultural history in the United States. Recent articles include “Elisha Williams” in the Dictionary of Early American Philosophers (Thoemmes Continuum, forthcoming).
Dean Levesque serves as the Dean’s Designate on the Course of Study Committee, the Committee on Teaching and Learning, the Committee on Majors, the Committee on Teaching in the Residential Colleges, and the Language Study Committee.
